RSSIraqi government disregard the welfare of the 'Blackwater' victims

It has taken three years but yesterday Iraqi government officials finally met with the victims and the families of those killed when Blackwater security guards opened fire on a crowded street, killing 17 people. The purpose of the meeting was to 'get information on their civil lawsuits', however the meeting is viewed by most as just another example of the disregard Maliki's corrupt government have for the people of Iraq.

Opposition is a legitimate right, whether in politics, social or intellectual life, or even in the phenomena of nature and society, the movement of the universe and the presence are based on the unity of antibody and the stages through which mankind passed in the development and growth of civilization are just a product of a class conflict and contradiction within the communities. "Whilst we welcome the decision by the Iraqi High Tribunal to execute Ali Hassan al-Majid for the atrocities he's committed, most notably the 1988 gassing of 5,000 Kurds in northern town of Halabja, let us not forget that he's been sentenced to death three times already. If government were genuinely interested in justice he would have been executed a long time ago. Instead, they publicise this decision now, six weeks before the election, to try to cover up their previous ineptitude. It is a desperate campaigning ploy to try and salvage its rapidly depleting support and yet another example of Maliki's corrupt and immoral regime."
Ahrar welcomes oil investment, but security and corruption concerns remain

Ayad Jamal Aldin, leader of the Ahrar movement has welcomed the latest oil deal.
The deal announced yesterday between Shell and Petronas and the Majnoon oil field is a step to securing Iraq's financial future but much more is needed and that will only be achieved through a stable and secure environment for investment.
